Jayne Biehn

Bringing together seemingly disparate elements, finding narrative balance where chaos and movement meet stillness and calm, creating harmony in the final composition. Engaging the viewer’s curiosity and desire to experience these intersecting layers of human form and expression, discovering a place of beauty and ultimately, relief. Jayne Biehn is an Oakland-based creator of mixed media works, integrating printed paper, acrylic, oil sticks, thread, and graphite. She studied Fine Art at the UC Irvine, graduated with a BA in Graphic Design at the Art Institute of Southern California and studied Abstract Painting at California College of Arts. The pandemic has simplified her art and has made her appreciate being an artist.
