What is Art for AIDS?
Art for AIDS raises critical funds for the mental health and wellness of HIV-affected and LGBTQ+ community members in San Francisco. Sales from the Art for AIDS silent auction and the live auction event benefit the UCSF Alliance Health Project. The 2025 live auction event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 4 and will showcase approximately 165 contemporary and modern art pieces donated by artists, galleries, and collectors around the country. What is the Art for AIDS silent auction?
Our Art for AIDS silent auction will open soon! Our silent auction allows you to bid on artwork, unique gift certificates, and other items from local businesses right from the comfort of your home. From art to vacation packages to tours and experiences, you don’t want to miss this unique opportunity to be a part of an exciting auction experience for a great cause.
What can I expect at the Art for AIDS live auction event?
We have a wonderful evening planned! Guests at this year’s event can expect an exciting live art auction on Oct. 4. The event will also feature a lively atmosphere complete with food, cocktails, wine, complimentary valet service, and live music from DF Productions Live Band. Art for AIDS continues to serve as one of San Francisco’s premier art events, attracting sophisticated art patrons, buyers, and donors, and this year will not disappoint.

VIP Early Admission is at 4 p.m. General admission is at 5 pm. Bidding at the live auction will begin promptly at 6 p.m.
Where is the Art for AIDS live auction event being held?
Art for AIDS 2025 will be held at the UCSF Nancy Friend Pritzker Psychiatry Building, adjacent to the Mission Bay campus in San Francisco's Dogpatch neighborhood. The entrance to the event will be on 18th Street.

How do I get there – and where do I park?
Art for AIDS 2025 will be held from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4 at the UCSF Nancy Friend Pritzker Psychiatry Building adjacent to the Mission Bay campus in San Francisco's Dogpatch neighborhood. The entrance to the event will be on 18th Street. Complimentary valet service will be provided for all guests by Westpark Express Valet Services.

Why Art for AIDS?
Art for AIDS originated 29 years ago when several local artists got together in a Noe Valley kitchen and decided to sell their art to help friends living with HIV/AIDS. Art for AIDS has since attracted a vibrant community of supporters, raising over $2.5 million for HIV/AIDS mental health care. Over the years, Art for AIDS has attracted artists such as Gustavo Ramos Rivera, Heather Wilcoxon, Lucky Rapp, Adam Caldwell, Salvador Dali, Catherine Mackey, and Cara Barer, along with works from prominent galleries and collectors. Twenty-nine years later, Art for AIDS continues to serve as one of San Francisco’s premier art events, attracting sophisticated art patrons, buyers, and donors.
What is the financial impact of Art for AIDS?
Funds raised at Art for AIDS mean more help, more services, and more care provided to clients in crisis, those with mental illness, HIV, and those who are homeless or coping with substance use disorders. Over the years, Art for AIDS has raised over $2.5 million in critical funding to serve the most vulnerable in our vibrant communities in San Francisco, making this event such an important part of AHP’s remarkable 41-year history of meeting the mental health and wellness needs of HIV-affected and LGBTQ+ community members.
