Adam Forfang

I see fine art painting as a language that changes over time. My artwork is an interpretation of the file format known as JPEG; I use Photoshop to compress digital photos into a more abstracted state and use that information as a starting point for my rendering process in charcoal and oil paint. My handmade paintings are produced through a mix of both traditional and modern techniques, and my aim is to create work that engages our post-internet world and questions the nature of perception.
