Art for AIDS 2026
After 30 years, Art for AIDS—a San Francisco-based fundraiser supporting mental health services for LGBTQ+ and HIV-affected communities—returns with a special online-only auction, making it easier than ever for supporters near and far to take part. This year, Art for AIDS goes global through its partnership with Artsy, the world's leading online art marketplace. With more than four million users worldwide, Artsy expands the visibility of participating artists and sponsors while connecting the auction with collectors across the globe.
What began as a grassroots response to the HIV/AIDS crisis grew into a beloved community tradition, bringing together artists, collectors, and advocates around a shared commitment to care, connection, and survival. Art for AIDS: Thirty Years of Showing Up honors the artists, volunteers, donors, and supporters who have stood with the community over three decades, reflecting both the urgency of the early epidemic and the ongoing need for accessible mental health services today.
This year's online-only auction features more than 100 expertly curated original works donated by generous artists, collectors, and galleries, offering bidders everywhere a unique opportunity to support a vital cause while discovering exceptional contemporary art. Bidding opens Wednesday, October 21, and closes Wednesday, November 4.
More than an art auction, Art for AIDS is a celebration of showing up for one another through care, connection, and survival—values that have sustained the community throughout its history and continue to guide its future.
