Christopher Jernberg

Christopher Jernberg has felt throughout his life that it was difficult to find a complete way, a way that made him a complete human as simply and fully as a wild squirrel is a complete squirrel. He has had incredible adventures, incredible loves, even enlightenment. He got to experience all levels of society, so many different philosophies, religions, formats, roles, places, challenges, rewards and so on, but it wasn't enough. In the 1990s, he came up with the idea that he should create his own identity and system. He used the words navigator and navigation to describe what he was doing because his focus was on how to navigate life. He combined whatever he already had that was working and did research to fill in the blanks. His photographs show what kind of lifestyle and result developed. There have been periods where he’s become that elusive navigator or complete human he imagined, moving fluidly through space as one. Then something happens and he falls out of the flow and has to take himself back into the shop, analyze what went wrong and make his method better.
