Daniel Berman

Daniel Berman is a documentary filmmaker, photographer and founder of the Mobile Photography Awards. Among the many TV programs he created and produced for his company, OriginalSpinTV, are SOLOS: TheJazz Sessions, a 39 part series on legendary and living jazz musicians, Rhythm & Blooms, 39 hours on the great botanical gardens of North America seen on Discovery Channel, and a 39 part series of rock concert specials called Beautiful Noise. Some of the musicians with whom he has worked directly include Levon Helm, Sonic Youth, Bill Frisell, My Morning Jacket, Feist, Billy Bragg, Steve Earle, Mickey Hart, and Brad Mehldau. As the founder of the Mobile Photography Awards, he become a promoter/curator of nearly a dozen gallery exhibits and a reliable conduit between artists and collectors of fine-art photographs. He also runs a small music label, Original Spin Music and produces digital releases from its jazz archives.
