Scott Jacobs

Jacobs is the great-nephew of Daniel Chester French, Designer of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C.

Scott's grandparents met at Boston College of Art, his grandfather a woodcarver and grandmother a fashion design major.

Born in Hartford, Connecticut, Jacobs grew up with a natural talent and love of art, painting since he was three years old. Mostly a self-taught artist, although Jacobs graduated from Hartford College of Art, while still attending high school. Scott joined the U.S. Navy at age 20 and was commissioned by the US Navy to paint several works, including a mural in Djibouti, Africa. After completing his time in the Navy, Jacobs pursued his passion for art as a career.  A year later, in 2008, his work headlined top media including CNN World News, KTLA News, and the front page of The Sacramento Bee. Following his success in Southern California, Scott moved to Carmel, CA. Opening his own one-man gallery in the premier destination of any artist. Scott Jacobs Gallery is currently Celebrating 10 years in Carmel- By-The-Sea as well as being voted best art gallery in Carmel/Monterey, Ca.

- Peoples Choice Award Monterey Herald.

Jacobs is a prolific, museum- and celebrity- collected, oil and watercolor painter. Showing at the Monterey Museum of Art 2012. His exhibitions have attracted the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Lawrence Taylor, Bill Murray, Dermot Desmond, Aslinn Derbez, and Mauricio Ochmann, associates of Gibson Dunn & Crutcher, and more.
