Lucky Rapp

Lucky Rapp works with white so often in her artwork because she thinks of white as a new beginning–offering reflections, expansion, purity, compassion, and the optimistic possibilities of hope. Using fifty different white shades, this new series, this too shall pass . . . reflects how we are so different, yet so alike in our connected desire for hope and positive universal change amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. This series was created in collaboration with ArtHaus Gallery and C2 Paint with swatches selected from their wide range of white shades. Lucky has worked with C2 Paint on multiple projects and loves the color palette, paint quality, and whimsy of the playful names. The real concept behind this piece is that we all can agree we are waiting for this pandemic to pass . . . not a day goes by that she doesn't think about the day we can all safely roam free.
